Nightclubs & venues

LED walls for nightclubs.

A content surface that holds up under moving lights, and survives a crowded room at two in the morning.

The problem

Why the usual answer does not work.

A club screen has two enemies the average installation never meets. The first is the lighting rig, which is pointed at the same wall and will wash out anything that is merely bright enough for a meeting room. The second is the crowd, which will lean on it, spill on it, and occasionally put an elbow through it.

Both are specification problems rather than bad luck. Brightness has to be chosen against your own rig, and the panel face has to be protected in any area a person can reach.

Sizing

How we size it.

Specify against your rig, not a spec sheet
There is no universal number, because it depends what you are pointing at the wall. Tell us the fixtures over the dance floor and the wall they hit, and we specify to beat them rather than guessing.
Protective coating anywhere within reach
Indoor panels can be ordered with a coated face for touch-prone areas. In a club, anything below about seven feet gets it as standard. It costs a little at order and saves a module every few months.
Content is the real running cost
The most common complaint we get from venues is not a fault — it is a loop nobody has changed since opening. Budget for content the way you budget for lighting, or the wall stops being an attraction within a season.
Sizes that fit

Tell us the room, the wall you have in mind, and what is over the dance floor. The lighting rig changes the specification as much as the size does.

Questions

What people ask us.

How bright does an LED wall need to be in a nightclub?

Brighter than the room's own lighting rig, which varies by venue. A standard indoor panel at 600 to 700 nits is fine in a lounge and will wash out under moving heads pointed at the same wall. Tell us your rig and we specify against it.

Will people damage the screen?

Modules can be damaged by impact, which is why we specify a protective coating on anything within reach in a venue, and hold spare modules locally. A damaged module is a swap-in repair, not a wall replacement, if the spares are on the shelf.

What size LED wall for a club?

Most clubs land between our I-3 at 11'10" x 6'8" and the I-5 at 23'7" x 13'3", depending on the room and whether the wall is behind the booth or across a whole end of the space.

Can it sync with the lighting desk?

Yes. The processor takes standard inputs, and content can be triggered alongside the rest of the show. We commission it with your lighting operator so the wall behaves like part of the rig.
